Eric Taubman Scott Hagendorf Patty Katchur
In the summer of 1993, Eric Taubman and Scott Hagendorf joined forces with legendary master printer Joe Portogallo and Sixty Eight Degrees was born.

Portogallo, a premier interpreter of photojournalistic and fine art photography, offered a vision of black & white that was immediately embraced by the fashion and advertising communities. The same clients who had put their trust in Hagendorf's early adoption of C41 color processing for commercial applications helped turn Sixty Eight into New York's top black and white facility.

Joe Portogallo passed away in 1996, but Patty Katchur, Joe's heir apparent, had been groomed for the role of carrying on Portogallo's vision since the early days of the lab (Autumn 1993). Patty continues to oversee the lab's operations, and Sixty Eight Degrees enjoys serving an international client base of fantastic photographers whose images define the best work in art, fashion, portraiture and advertising.
